Discourse graphs
Matt is a cell biologist, biophysicist, and metascience entrepreneur designing new ways for researchers to structure and share science as it happens. He is cofounder of Discourse Graphs, CAIROS.network, and MIRA.science, organizations making research claims and their evidence modular, attributable, and auditable for human and AI collaborators. At Astera, Matt is building Discourse Graphs into an open infrastructure for evidence-based knowledge via an open protocol for portable, attributable research claims, accessible plugins in the Obsidian note-taking app and for AI coding agents, and a demonstration of its utility in a biological modeling use case, grounding model choices and coordinating experimental requests.
